Our Story

OKIVEST was founded by experienced professionals with an extensive background in property-based technology businesses who saw the need to help solve the property ownership affordability issues and set about to develop solutions to this problem.

After examining a number of potential solutions, our concept of making joint ownership easily accessible to all while maintaining a relationship and support throughout the journey was developed.

Background

OKIVEST’s board is chaired by Anthony Scotton and supported by a highly qualified team of property and technology professionals. Mr Scotton retired as CEO of SAI Global Ltd in 2014 and has subsequently chaired and managed a number of property-based technology and services businesses. Mr Scotton brings with him the business and technology skills necessary to guide OKIVEST on this journey.

Why
We Did it

The founders identified a need in the community for occupiers and investors of residential property to share the ownership of a property as a solution to home affordability issues. The occupier can more affordably begin the climb up the property ladder by acquiring a portion of a property while enjoying full occupancy rights. The investor can affordably invest in a property by sharing with an occupier that provides rental security and with a vested interest in ensuring that the property is looked after and properly maintained.
